Quite a variety of species occur in the region – more than 160 at Minwater and more than 250 in the Klein Karoo. On request, guided birding excursions at Minwater or elsewhere in the Klein Karoo are arranged. Keep in mind that certain species, including a number of Southern African and Western Cape endemics, prefer specific vegetation types. Checklists for Minwater and the Klein Karoo are available.
